lower fourth dimension - "...David Icke, another pundit of the Illuminati, believes humans have been getting messages from alien "Illuminati-reptilians" for thousands of years. The reptiles explain such things as the Gregorian calendar. The whole senario [sic] was planned centuries ago because the reptilians, operating from the lower fourth dimension, and indeed whatever force controls them, have a very different version of "time" than we have, hence they can see and plan down the three-dimensional "time"-line in a way that those in three-dimensional form cannot.* Icke fancies himself "The most controversial author and speaker in the world."* For him, the origin of the Illuminati is extraterrestrial. He knows this because he is sure we have been contacted regularly with messages from beyond by the alien lizards. at the top of the pyramid sits an alien race of lizard-people - "...Icke’s message is that humans live in a virtual-reality universe — “very well symbolized by the Matrix movie trilogy.” In 1991, he told a journalist that he was the “son of God” — but he insisted that the term was meant with no Christian connotation. “I used the term [to describe my relationship with] the Infinite Consciousness that is everything,” he wrote in his 2010 book, Human Race, Get Off Your Knees: The Lion Sleeps No More. “We are like droplets of water in an ocean of … awareness. We are ‘individual’ at one level of perception, but still part of the infinite whole. More than that, we are the infinite whole, just as a droplet is the ocean and the ocean is the droplet.” Icke has written 16 books, and most of them are full of meandering New Age rhapsodies such as this. But unlike ordinary gurus, Icke has wrapped his spiritual message into an ambitious conspiracy theory — one that weaves together the Illuminati, Jews (or “Rothschild Zionists,” as Icke prefers to call them), the Mossad and CIA (which be believes engineered 9/11), and the London School of Economics. The conspiracy is so enormous, he argues, that it transcends the human race: At the top of the pyramid sits an alien race of lizard-people who control the world by projecting their extradimensional identities onto handpicked world leaders such as Queen Elizabeth II and George W. Bush. “‘Modern man’ was manipulated genetically by the Reptilian ‘gods’ to be their slaves, and Homo sapiens were given the brain capacity and physical frame that could best serve the Reptilian[s] as administrators,” he writes in The Lion Sleeps No More. “[The Reptilian brain] acts like an enormous microchip, and locks us into their control system.” Fortunately, hope is at hand: According to Icke, “Truth Vibrations” now are being emitted into the “Metaphysical Universe” from distant solar systems — which will help all of us “break down the energetic barriers and blocks and lift the veil on the illusions and secrets about self and the world.” Icke’s mission now, as he sees it, is to get all of us to “tune in” to these vibrations so we can rise up together against the lizard overlords. Men such as Icke epitomize what I call the “Cosmic Voyager” — the hippie earth child of the eight-part typology I have developed in my research of conspiracy theorists. In broad terms, the Cosmic Voyager resembles what University of York cult expert Colin Campbell called a “seeker” — a spiritual omnivore perpetually spiraling out toward the margins of Western cultural and political life..." common mistake - "...Icke's biographical story offers ample examples of this common mistake of 'Seekers After Truth'. Professional soccer player, sports correspondent, and later national spokesperson for Britain's Green Party, Icke underwent a highly publicized spiritual awakening after a visit to a medium and healer. The brutal reality according to some conflicting accounts however, is that Icke got a personal assistant pregnant whilst on holiday, and split with his family. The public outcry drove Icke into the very fringes of conspiriology subcultures. According to a scathing review of 'The Biggest Secret' by the late Jim Keith, Icke lacks the finely honed analytical skills required to discriminate between credible and delusional sources. Whilst Icke does highlight in his own way the turbulence of the multi-polar Digital Age and the exploitative excesses of laissez-faire capitalism run amok, he also prints (plagiarizes?) the most bizarre anecdotes, without any sustained critique. His books are required reading to grasp the irrationalism and virtually nonexistant research methodologies that plagues the conspiriology underground, but for all the wrong reasons: Icke may awaken the desire for conscious evolution, but then provides an error-filled map. David Vaughan Icke (born April 29, 1952) is an English writer and public speaker, best known for his views on what he calls "who and what is really controlling the world." Describing himself as the most controversial speaker in the world, he has written 18 books explaining his position, and has attracted a substantial following across the political spectrum. His 533-page The Biggest Secret (1999) has been called the conspiracy theorist's Rosetta Stone. Icke was a well-known BBC television sports presenter and spokesman for the Green Party, when in 1990 he had an encounter with a psychic who told him he was a healer placed on Earth for a purpose. In April 1991 he said on the BBC's Terry Wogan show that he was a son of the godhead—though he said later he had been misinterpreted—and predicted that the world would soon be devastated by tidal waves and earthquakes. He said the show changed his life, turning him from a respected household name into someone who was laughed at whenever he appeared in public. He continued nevertheless to develop his ideas, and in four books published over seven years—The Robots' Rebellion (1994), And the Truth Shall Set You Free (1995), The Biggest Secret (1999), and Children of the Matrix (2001)—set out a moral and political worldview that combined New-Age spiritualism with a passionate denunciation of totalitarian trends in the modern world. At the heart of his theories lies the idea that the world is becoming a global fascist state, that a secret group of reptilian humanoids called the Babylonian Brotherhood controls humanity, and that many prominent figures are reptilian, including George W. Bush, Queen Elizabeth II, Kris Kristofferson, and Boxcar Willie. Michael Barkun has described Icke's position as "New Age conspiracism," writing that he is the most fluent of the conspiracist genre.
